The best time in Saint-Petersburg is during the White nights (May - July). The weather at this time is excellent. The longest day, June 22nd, the sun sets at 23.26p.m, and rises at 4.36a.m, therefore even at midnight it is quite possible “to write and read without an icon lamp” in the street. The most pleasant and romantic time to take walks in the city is during the White nights: traditionally tourists go for a walk along Nevskiy Prospect, quays, to look at the separating bridges and go for ride on boats on the rivers and channels. All cafes and restaurants are filled with people, in hotels there are no places, the center is populated. At this time in the city there are significant film festivals (" the Message to the person ", " Festival of festivals ") and a few musicals: the Petersburg rock festival, " the Swing of White night " (jazz), "Stars of the White nights", " the White nights of Saint-Petersburg ", " Palaces of Saint-Petersburg ". The best time to come to St. Petersburg is in autumn during the end of September - the beginning of October. Air is transparent and pure,  it is not hot in the streets, but it is necessary to put on a sweater. This season is the best time to go to suburbs, to sail on boats in ZPKiO (the Central Recreation Park) to have a beer in open cafes.

Overcrowding as during the white nights is much less in city and it becomes quieter.

During winter days are short (the shortest day is December 22, which only lasts for 5 hours and 52 minutes) in St. Petersburg. It would be better to arrive there on New Years holidays or on any special cultural event. When it snows wintry St. Petersburg is special - the city is of fantastic beauty. This would be the best time to visit St. Petersburg’s museums, to go to theatres and concerts, to attend numerous exhibitions.

Each city has a symbol. There are many symbols of Saint-Petersburg as well as city faces. Among its symbols are both the Admiralty boat, and an angel on spike of the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral – the spirit of St. Petersburg, and lions - the eternal guards of the city who have lowered  heavy paws on marble spheres; there is a small fence around the summer Garden, plain and transparent, as the St. Petersburg’s White nights; there are the sphinxes reliably keeping treasured secrets of the incomprehensible city; also there is a mighty soldier on a prompt horse - the Copper Horseman – the soul of St. Petersburg. On our site we shall try to tell to you about sights of St. Petersburg. It isn possible to tell you everything though we can open the "door" to our city for you. Come - and you will know more! Out much more!
